HOWEVER - if the top bearing sits a little low in the head tube socket, the rubber dust cap can cause some friction along the circumference of the silicone dust cap and the edge of the head tube socket. Unfortunately, there is no shim to increase the height of the dust cap to enable to lift it slightly so it fully clear the edge of the headtube socket and hence avoiding friction. If the top bearing sits a little proud (depending on different branded deck headtube socket design) - the dust cap clears it fine.
