Mounting Snowboard Stomps

Snowboard stomp pads give you better control of your board when you only have one boot fastened, for example when going on and off a ski lift. When you apply it, be sure to have alcohol and a blow-dryer ready.

The upper surface of the snowboard is smooth, but a stomp pad has a textured pattern that grips the bottom of the boot. You use it to stand on when you take your back foot out of the binding. It makes it easier for you to grasp the board with the boot. Stomp pads are usually made of either rubber, foam, knobs or a combination of these and is positioned in front of your back foot – between the bonds.

Instructions for use

  • Board and stomp pad should be at room temperature (approx. 21°C).
  • Clean the the surface with rubbing alcohol. The surface must remain clean, smooth and dry. Do not touch it afterwards.
  • Use a blow-dryer on the highest level to heat up the prepared snowboard surface as well as the adhesive on the stomp pad (always keep the dryer in motion so you do not damage the snowboard).
  • Immediately after heating, place the stomp pad and press firmly. Stand on it without twisting – the more weight, the better.
  • Allow the stomp pad to dry at room temperature for 24 hours.
